PART 1 / MODULE 1 |

Introduction

From questioning to experimentation, methodology, research… To the Finet/Williame concept
“Evidence base medicine”
“The notion of comprehensiveness”
“Scientific studies”

A fonctional model

The diaphragm is the main respiratory muscle YES … but not only!!!!
Respiratory mechanics;
Area of apposition
Pleural pressure (attractive)
Abdominal pressure (compressive)
Diaphragmatic pressure
Accessory muscles
Transversus abdominis and pelvic floor
Diaphragm = 2 physiological muscles in one
(“Series” or “parallel” arrangement De Troyer, pulmonologist)

Diaphragm function

Respiratory function and reflux barrier
Postural function
Pressive function

Respiro-postural muscle series
Assymetry (walk, Abdominal pressure – Thoracic pressure – Intracranial pressure, Transversus abdominis, Pelvic floor)
Notion of «Pressure columns» pressure transferred in the muscle series

The Sacroiliac joint

Function
Forces; “form closure et force closure”

Epidemiology

Low back pain
Post-abdominal surgery

Obesity
Postpartum
COPD
Highly trained athletes
Chronic abdominal bloating
Posture

PRACTICAL

The Finet/Williame palpation methodology

Rigidity
Elastic rebound
Facilitation

The Finet/Williame procedure©

Standing Patient Test and Examination
Test and examine the patient in decubitus position
-“Cleaning” techniques
-Diaphragm
-Transversus abdominis
-Pelvic floor
-Sacroiliac joint

Dynamics of liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas

Ultrasound study liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas
Normalization of « Visceral zones» according to Finet/Williame : Dysfunction in Inhalation/Dysfunction in exhalation/Fixedness

Application of Finet/Williame techniques

– Skull
Teeth
Thorax
Spinal column
Members
Arch
Vagus nerve

PART 2 / MODULE 2

Theory: revision on pressure columns theory ©
Practice: Tests and normalizations of stomach and duodenum zones
Day 2:
Theory: continuation of videos on the gastrointestinal tract
Practice: testing and normalization of small intestine and colon zones

Day 3:
Theory:Visceral slide, visceral dynamics, peristalsis and microbiota.
Theory: Sphincters of the gastrointestinal tract
Practices: testing and normalization of sphincter zones.
Theory: gastrointestinal functional disorders and visceral hypersensitivity.
Theory: dysfunction of visceral dynamics in the context of Bloating, Burning, Pyrosis, Diarrhea and Constipation.
Theory and practice on intrinsic dynamics.
