Pediatric program in Osteopathy | COPENHAGEN , DENMARK

English

Panta Rhei is a well-known institute for postgraduate development in osteopathy and has more than 15 years of experience in pediatric osteopathy. René Zweedijk is the head of a well experienced team of osteopathic teachers.

For the course in Denmark we have chosen a unique design with a combination of e-learnings and physical/practical meetings. In the e-learning sessions we will focus on the theoretical aspect, whilst the physical meeting content will be based on osteopathy in practice. For both sessions the participants will get the handouts in advance to give an opportunity to prepare themselves. The online meetings last about an hour and can be watched life or later in time. During the physical meetings, the emphasis will be on osteopathic practice with the child from birth to adolescence as the central subject.

Laurie Kolfoort-Strengholt DO

Laurie Kolfoort-Strengholt DO

In 2004 Laurie qualified as an osteopath and in 2006 completed the paediatric program at Panta Rhei, the main postgraduate school in the Netherlands dedicated to teaching traditional osteopathic skills.  She started on the Jim Jealous Biodynamic pathway in 2005.  As well as working in private practice she has lectured extensively.  She has taught on the children’s program at Panta Rhei, as well as presenting paediatric courses in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland and Spain. After successively studying physical therapy and osteopathy, balanced ligamentous tension and all biodynamic phases with Christian Sullivan, Laurie has more recently studied Dr Masgutova’s Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) programme and has blended this with her traditional osteopathic knowledge.

Cindy de Nooijer DO, MSc Ost.
Cindy behaalde in 2012 zowel haar DO diploma (IAO), als haar Master of Science in Osteopathie diploma (University of Innsbruck).

Cindy de Nooijer DO, MSc Ost.
In 2012, Cindy obtained both her Diploma in Osteopathy (IAO) and her Master of Science in Osteopathy from the University of Innsbruck. Following graduation, she worked in several osteopathic practices in the province of Zeeland, the Netherlands. Since 2017, she has been running her own private practice in Oost-Souburg and also practices at the Stillpoint Centre in Kapelle.

Between 2013 and 2015, Cindy completed the postgraduate programme in Paediatric Osteopathy at Panta Rhei Education. Since 2017, she has been teaching within the Paediatric Osteopathy programme at Panta Rhei. In recent years, she has also taken on a leadership role within the programme, working alongside René Zweedijk to oversee and safeguard the curriculum and educational standards.

In 2017, during a professional networking event, Cindy connected with lactation consultants Bianca Izeboud and Loes Huissen. Since then, they have developed a close interdisciplinary collaboration, referring babies to one another as well as to the dental practice of Anna. This collaborative approach has proven highly beneficial, creating a positive synergistic effect in patient care. As a result, babies are often able to release tension and compensatory patterns more effectively, contributing to improved breastfeeding outcomes.

Approximately 50% of Cindy’s patient population consists of babies, children, and pregnant women. A significant proportion of the babies she treats are referred for breastfeeding-related challenges. Many of these infants are seen during their first week of life, allowing early intervention to support successful breastfeeding and promote optimal development from the very beginning.
