Discover the people, expertise and ideas behind this international event.
Women’s health is influenced by a complex interaction of hormonal, visceral, fascial and biomechanical factors. But how can osteopaths integrate these different dimensions into their clinical practice?
During the demonstration workshop “Viscera and Women’s Health”, Colette Peeters DO, MSc. Ost. will demonstrate how a visceral approach can contribute to a deeper understanding of dysfunctions and complaints commonly encountered in women’s health.
Following a theoretical introduction, she will present her clinical approach to complex clinical cases involving endometriosis, adenomyosis and infertility, illustrating how clinical reasoning guides the osteopathic assessment and treatment process. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between the abdominal and pelvic organs, fascia, posture, movement and physiological regulation.
The workshop will also explore the role of innovative internal osteopathic techniques and discuss the impact of previous surgical interventions on tissue mobility, function and treatment strategies, providing participants with practical insights into managing these challenging presentations.
For osteopaths, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to observe how visceral principles can be applied within a field where anatomical, endocrinological and functional factors are continuously interconnected.
Expect a practice-oriented session where scientific insights, clinical case discussions and osteopathic experience come together in support of women’s health.
